The item arrived promptly and well shipped. However, I can't help but be bothered by the January's picture. "Not all those who wonder are lost." The correct quote, by J.R.R. Tolkien is, "Not all those who wander are lost." "Wonder" does not even make sense in this context. Also, there is no credit for the quote (which technically is wrong, so maybe no credit is due?) So while the design is cute and on trend, I can't display, at least January, in my office because it is embarrassing incorrect.
The design of the calendar is nice and the day boxes are big enough to write in, but the month of January has a grammatical error. The message should read 'Not all those who WANDER are lost' (not wonder). It's a small but significant error and I'm surprised this went to print without it being caught. Perhaps the creator will see this and improve on their process next time.
I decided to buy 2 different Calendars. This one was what I put up in my office. It's quite lovely and The Black background makes every message pop. There's a bit of frustration for some people in the January one ("Not all those who Wonder are lost"). For me it's spot on because I'm Scatterbrained. My organizational skills are terrible but I have my own system. So someone on the outside would consider me wandering in wonder while I'm on a set trek. Regardless if this annoys you or not, I'd consider checking it out.
Love this! I have it hanging above my home office desk and its a daily reminder of good energy. The colors are bright and bold. I look forward to every month and will purchase this again next year.
Great calendar to start off the new year right, and to always have words of encouragement on my wall
I should have read the reviews. I am a copy editor, and seeing the error in January’s artwork is going to bug me all month.
I love this product. Getting ready to purchase it for the 3rd year in a row. Great quality and the monthly inspirational quotes are a plus!
Typo in the first month and some of the sayings are definitely odd. But it's decent thickness/quality with enough room for me to write on each day. Perfect for my fridge.
